I got an email today from a Pastor called “A Hypocrite’s Christmas” and it inspired me to write this post. Why do American’s cry prayer in school when they don’t have prayer at home? Why do American’s cry Merry Christmas not happy holidays when they don’t accept the Christ of Christmas? Why do American’s cry T […]
Cain murdered his brother because his deeds were evil and his brothers were righteous. Cain was from Satan and Abel was from God. We can get a good look at the modern day church when we examine the first two humans born after the garden and here they are: They were blood brothers They had the same [...]
We have been going through Baptists and the Bible in our Flock hour at church and yesterday we looked at Benjamin Keach and all the Lord did through him. I think one of the most important things done through Keach was the creation of the Baptist Catechism (or Keaches Catechism) for personal and family instruction. Many [...]
” For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.” (1 John 3:11, ESV) This past Sunday we examined this passage from 1 John 3:11 about loving one another. Some key points we need to understand are: 1. We must define the families before we can identify the [...]
Just a note to say that all of John MacArthur’s sermons are now free. Just go to the Grace To you website: http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/Series and click your fingers sore. Blessings Jeff

Everyone, I couldn’t have even come close to putting it in words what I was thinking until I read this post from my Pastor at Henderson Hills. His Original Post can be found here: http://www.hhbc.com/now-that-the-ballots-have-been-counted. Blessings Jeff Wednesday, November 5, 2008 - Dennis Newkirk I’ve heard from a number of Christians in the pa […]
In our Sunday School class we are studing the roots of the group of people called Baptists and last week we started looking at Baptist confessions of faith throughout the years. The first one we are looking at is the Baptist Confession of Faith of 1644 (also know as the 1st London Confession). This confession was rooted and [...]
Phil Gons over at Logos had this on their blog and I thought I would pass it along. Original post is here http://blog.logos.com/archives/2008/09/the_ultimate_steal.html The Ultimate Steal This doesn’t have much to do with Logos Bible Software, but it’s too good of a deal not to pass on to you. Microsoft is again offering Office Ultimate 2007 for only [ […]
I came across this song as I am preparing for our worship service tomorrow and I think it is very appropriate to post the lyrics for all Christ followers… When it’s all been said and done There is just one thing that matters Did I do my best to live for truth Did I live my life for You When [...]
I normally don’t post video’s from NBC’s ER but this clip speaks volumes about deception of post-modernism. It shows the need for real Pastors to speak the real truth found only in our God and in His Word the Holy Bible. Watch it all the way to the end.
John tells us “At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.” (1 John 2:8, ESV) This “old commandment” of love that we discussed earlier has now given birth to a “new commandment” of love. Love 2.0 if you will… Enjoy
When reading the passage “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6, ESV) you can’t help but see the power and majesty that belongs to our God. And as His people we are also called to walk in a manner worthy of our calling. This message reflects that as we continue on in His Word. - Enjoy
