Here is a simple batch file to restore your logos system (from your backup) on a vista machine. Just replace the “d:\backup” with the drive/folder of your external (or other media) and the user name “Jeff” with your own login name.

Logos Restore on New Installation

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

The time has come for me to reformat my machine (ugh) and since I had to do it I thought I would document how to get Logos up and running on a new install or new machine.

  1. Put my 3.0e [latest version] DVD in and run setup.
(if you don’t have the latest version go to
    http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls)
  2. Restore Licenses from Backup File
  3. Syncronize Licenses from Logos Website
  4. Run “Logos Restore Vista” batch files to copy all of my resources, PBB files, etc…
  5. Return to www.logos.com website and type “Personal Book Builder” in search box, on PBB page, click to download PBB install files
  6. Open up Libronix and I am ready to work 25 min from setup to finish.

Enjoy :-D

After attending Camp Logos II this past week and making all kinds of customizations to my machine. I sat down and wrote a simple batch file to back up all the changed files to an external hard drive. All you have to do it download the zip file and right click on the batch file and choose “open with notepad.” Change the user name “Jeff” to whatever the name you log in your machine with and change the external drive letter “j” to whatever your drive is. Run the batch file and then go to your external drive to see if you files are there.

Download it here (Logos Backup Batch File)
