After attending Camp Logos II this past February and making all kinds of customizations to my machine. I sat down and wrote a simple batch file to back up all the changed files to an external hard drive on my Vista Machine. Then I wrote a restore batch file to my Office PC which is running XP.

Now I have created a backup batch file for an XP system. I believe I have covered all places critical to be able to restore a Libronix System. Please let me know if I have missed something.

All you have to do it download the zip file and right click on the batch file and choose “open with notepad.” Change the user name “Jeff.Brown” to whatever the name you log in your machine with and change the external drive letter “f” to whatever your drive is. Run the batch file and then go to your external hard drive and see if your files are there.

Download it here (Logos Backup to XP)

Reference Tagger

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Have you noticed that all the scripture verses in this blog have now been tagged to biblegateway.com and have a “L” icon next to them as well. (Like Romans 8:28-39 here) This is the new RefTagger from Libronix that will automatically tag all your bible verses and if you own any form of Libronix (www.logos.com) all you have to do is click on the L icon and go to work. If you don’t you can still click the links and go to biblegateway.com. This is an awesome utility and if you blog and are a Christian, then I believe this is a must have. Read the full blog post here.

Camp Logos II

Friday, February 8th, 2008

Camp Logos II is almost here and I can’t wait. I don’t believe it has ever come to Oklahoma and I am so glad it is. It is scheduled for Feb 21-22 at Henderson Hills Baptist Church (www.hhbc.com) and if you have been to Camp Logos I then I don’t need to tell you why you should come!

If you are wondering what Camp Logos II is, it is an advanced class on how to use the software that I use everyday as a Christian/Pastor/Teacher. What an awesome time to learn how to use the Libronix Digital Library System even more!

Morris Proctor is the man when it comes to Logos training and you can find him here at www.mpseminars.com

CLII website is https://www.mpseminars.com/index.cfm/PageID/518/index.html and  if you haven’t registered hurry up because there is only two weeks left!

Blessings
Jeff
